Golf/Bowls
Golfers and bowlers flock to Merimbula to play some of the finest courses and greens in the country. The Pambula-Merimbula 27 Hole Golf Course is recognized as one of the finest courses in NSW with facilities second to none. The Merimbula-Imlay Bowling Club is an excellent facility with 4 bowling greens.
Four kilometres from Merimbula is the 18 hole Tura Beach Golf Course which was designed by Peter Thompson with spectacular views of the coast Turra Beach also has a bowling green, tennis courts plus clubhouse with bistro meals.
Club Sapphire Merimbula is the home of Merimbula-Imlay Bowling Club which has four first class greens for regular and social tournament bowls with a winter carnival each year in June and a number of other tournaments held throughout the year.
Merimbula Carpet Bowls are held at Club Sapphire Merimbula on Tuesday evenings. Games are usually held in the Auditorium. Names in by 6.30pm and be in attendance by 6.45pm. Beginners & Visitors are most welcome.
Visiting golfers are welcome to play in competition or social rounds. With 27 holes, you are always able to play a social round even though a competition may be running at the same time. Cart and club hire are available from the Pro Shop. Social Golf is available 7 days per week
