Phillip Island

Phillip Island is approximately 90 minutes from Melbourne and is 26kms long by 9kms wide (10,000 hectares) big enough to create that characteristic holiday atmosphere.

Phillip Island's magnificent 97 kilometre coastline transforms from massive rocky outcrops to sheltered golden beaches facing Western Port Bay, the surf coming off Bass Strait attracts some of Australia's top surfers.

Enjoy the grassy picnic areas with children's playground, free electric bbq's, public toilets, disabled toilets opposite Thompson Avenue on the Esplanade.

Phillip Island is famous for its adrenalin pumping international motorcycle and car racing events.

Motorbike enthusiasts from around the world converge on Phillip Island twice a year to see the big bikes in action at the Superbike World Championship and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

For car racing enthusiasts, enjoy the non stop action of the V8 Supercars, Historic cars and other racing events.

Farmers Markets are held monthly at Churchill Island.

Woolamai Picnic Races are run regularly over summer. Head toward Melbourne turn right before Bass.
