situated between Inverloch and Cape Paterson.

Note: The sancturary and conservation zones extend 1km out to sea to preserve marine life.
Fishing is not permitted between The Oaks and Eagles Nest
Flat Rocks: Opposite RACV Resort rock hoppers delight at low tide.
Smugglers Cave: Water washed sandy floored caverns, accessible at low tide, flooded at high tide (be aware of tide movements).
Eagles Nest: Most recognised landmark in the area-resembles the top half of the map of Australia. Panoramic ocean views.
Shack Bay: Boardwalk to clean, sandy beach, great spot for family picnic.

Inverloch is situated on Anderson Inlet which opens out to the waters of Bass Strait, water activities never cease, surfers, wind and kite surfers, water skiiers, scuba divers, fishermen, yachts from the South Gippsland Yacht Club whose multi coloured sails can be seen from many vantage points around the inlet. |

• Be careful where you dive – accidents often result from diving into shallow waters.
• Be aware of slippery banks and rocks when fishing
• Don’t swim under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Always swim under supervision
• If you get into trouble in the water, stay calm. Signal for help, then float and wait for assistance
• Float with a current or undertow. Don’t try to swim against it.
• When out on the water always wear the correct safety equipment. |

Just past the Inlet Hotel on the Esplanade is the replica of the ketch - "Ripple" who operated in local waters in the late 1880's and played a big part in the establishing Inverloch as a sea port. Built in 1872 near Gosford the ketch was 57 feet long and 16 feet wide weighing 29 tons. |

The main beach is located across the footbridge and is patrolled during school and public holidays, however, it is a good idea to keep an eye on the kids as there is often an under tow. The other popular beach is opposite Eastern Beach Caravan Park once again exercise care. Lakes Tyers beach opposite the hotel is also popular with families. |

Kalimna West Road Lakes Entrance VIC 3909 Magnificent views and a rich variety of plant and birdlife are some of this Gippsland parks attractions. The highlight is Nyerimilang Homestead in a delightful garden setting on a cliff top above the beautiful Gippsland Lakes.
Perfect picnic spots are surrounded by garden and scenic walks along bush and farm tracks.
Nyerimilang Heritage Park is 10kms from Lakes Entrance via Kalimna West Road. Open 7 days. Entrance is free but donations are accepted to help maintain the park. |
