The main beach is located across the footbridge and is patrolled during school and public holidays, however, it is a good idea to keep an eye on the kids as there is often an under tow. The other popular beach is opposite Eastern Beach Caravan Park once again exercise care. Lakes Tyers beach opposite the hotel is also popular with families. |

Apex Park across the road from the Information Centre is the most popular location with BBQ's, tables, childrens playground and toilets.
Watch the boats being launched into the North Arm and the Pelicans going about their daily business.
Eastern Beach is also a very popular family BBQ area.

Swim or surf only at beaches patrolled by lifeguards
Always swim between the flags marking the area safer for swimming.
Read and obey the signs
Be careful where you dive accidents often result from diving into shallow waters.
Be aware of slippery banks and rocks when fishing
Do not swim under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Always swim under supervision
If you get into trouble in the water, stay calm. Signal for help, then float and wait for assistance
Float with a current or undertow. Do not try to swim against it.
When out on the water always wear the correct safety equipment. |

Perfect picnic spots are surrounded by garden and scenic walks along bush and farm tracks.
Nyerimilang Heritage Park is 10kms from Lakes Entrance via Kalimna West Road. Open 7 days. Entrance is free but donations are accepted to help maintain the park. |
