| Just past the Inlet Hotel is the replica of the ketch - "Ripple" who operated in local waters in the late 1880's and played a big part in the establishing Inverloch as a sea port. Built in 1872 near Gosford the ketch was 57 feet long and 16 feet wide weighing 29 tons. |

Just past Eagles nest Shack Bay has a boardwalk down to the sand beach. Great spot for that family picnic whilst the kids play in the shallows.

• Always swim between the flags marking the area safer for swimming.
• Read and obey the signs
• Be careful where you dive – accidents often result from diving into shallow waters.
• Be aware of slippery banks and rocks when fishing
• Don’t swim under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Always swim under supervision
• If you get into trouble in the water, stay calm. Signal for help, then float and wait for assistance
• Float with a current or undertow. Don’t try to swim against it.
• When out on the water always wear the correct safety equipment. |

| Inverloch is situated on Anderson Inlet which opens out to the waters of Bass Strait, water activities never cease, surfers, wind and kite surfers, water skiiers, scuba divers, fishermen, yachts from the South Gippsland Yacht Club whose multi coloured sails can be seen from many vantage points around the inlet. |
